What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

I am so unbelievably bad at updating this thing with real updates. Yikes...

Life has been busy since returning from Ohio on the first of this month. My luggage got lost somewhere in between Pittsburgh and Boston for 4 days...which was not cool. It was eventually "found" (makes me wonder where it got to travel without me!) and the book my sister wrote for me is safe and sound once again. Yay!

I've been dealing with lots of job and friend decisions, but not all of it is public knowledge quite yet...but I can say one thing- I'm going to be a bridesmaid in a wedding on May 26th! I am, of course, completely excited for my friend Monanyand her fiance Jac!

I've had a busy few weekends traveling and visiting various people- I love weekends ;) Two weekends ago Jenn and I went to New York City and walked ourselves to death. We went ice skating @ Rockefeller Center, the Sony Interaction Center, FAO Schwartz, Central Park & Central Park Zoo...I'm probably missing something. Nevertheless, it was a busy and interesting trip.

Last Friday after work I headed to my grandma's house. She finished her radiation on the 15th of January, and her hair is now growing back. It felt weird to see her with hair after seeing her bald for months! Anyway, she's on the mend but still has a few tests to endure. We went out to dinner on Friday and spent Saturday morning playing games- 3-D Tic-Tac-Toe and Mastermind to name a few. It was so nice and relaxing! We also went to the theater and watched "The Pursuit of Happyness". What a good movie- but oh, so heartbreaking. I love how Will Smith's real son plays his son in the movie.
On Sunday, Jenn convinced me to go snow tubing up in New Hampshire. Whew, what an experience. Haha. I am not one for roller coasters, and the first time we went down we were turned backwards about 90% of the time which completely freaked me out. We couldn't see where we were going or how much longer the path lasted...EEKKK! The next few times down were better, but I ended up having a painful accident and left Jenn to be adventurous alone.

On to another subject- the kids! JC (7 1/2 already!) and I had a fun afternoon. After he comes home from school and we practice his spelling words he usually runs out to play with friends. I don't really mind- they're great kids, and frankly JC is the hardest child for me to take care of lately. I call him my "high maintenance" one... LOL. Anyway, he ran to a few friends' houses, but no one was around, so he dejectedly walked home. I suggested the two of us play a game together, since the younger two kids were otherwise occupied, so he pulled out Monopoly. We didn't get far (duh, as the game takes hours ;) ... ) but it was still a nice change. In between calling for pizza, getting Z-Man to go to the bathroom, rescuing Little Miss from Z-Man's "hug", etc., we probably took 10 turns each, if that. Oh, well!

Z-Man turned 5 in December and can I just say how proud of him I am. When I arrived here last March, he was in diapers, couldn't dress himself, put on his shoes...nothing! After MANY MANY hours and days of struggling, hard work, and perseverance.... he can do the following: go to the bathroom alone (except for washing his hands, but this means I don't have to watch him every single minute in the bathroom...), put on his underwear, pants, shirts, socks (this JUST happened a week ago...YAY), coat, and shoes! You have no idea...but my hard work is paying off. He's doing really well in school and is expected to attend a regular Kindergarten class next Fall!

Little Miss will be 2 in April- she's a spitfire! She has SUCH a temper, which goes from 0 to 60 in two seconds, but she can also be such a doll. During the week, the boys are both at school from about 8-3, leaving Little Miss and I alone. She runs errands with me, "helps"me load the dishwasher, do laundry, etc. We read books and have tea parties together. She is also really good at playing alone, and loves her dolls, Pablo (from The Backyardigans) and Elmo, as well as her "water toys" which are little colored animal sponges, a gift from Jenn. She literally plays with the water toys at least 2 times a day. She loves drawing, coloring, or anything artsy. Such a girly girl, and most of all, so much fun to be around (most of the time). :)

Okay, enough for now. I'm so ready for the weekend! It's shaping up to be another good one!! :)

2007/ lost luggage

I SO cannot believe it's already 2007. How in the heck?? I'm back @ work now after being gone 9 days, and it is SOOOO hard to get back into the groove. I had all these resolutions (in my head anyway) and so far I'm not doing too well! I'm just feeling so lazy, still trying to get over this dang cold, missing my family, and worried about my luggage that is lost somewhere in between Pittsburgh and Boston. I think it's in NYC @ JFK airport....but all I have to say is that they BETTER find it. My 6 year old sister Rachael WROTE ME A BOOK for Christmas, and it's priceless. It's in the suitcase...along with a bunch of clothes and cds that can be replaced. But the book cannot be duplicated, and it has to be found!
